Dear Arlington friends and neighbors,
Join us for a town-wide celebration of Indigenous Peoples! This free event for all ages will feature a fun and educational performance by the Boston-based collective BOMBAntillana. Experience one of the oldest living musical traditions of Borikén (Puerto Rico). Bomba evolved as a powerful form of expression and resistance by Indigenous Taino and West African peoples during Spanish rule and beyond.
This event is free and family friendly!
Saturday, October 11
1:00 - 2:30 PM
First Parish Church, 630 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington
Sponsored by the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum, First Parish Arlington Indigenous Justice Working Group, Arlington Center for the Arts, Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture, Arlington Historical Society, Arlington Human Rights Commission, Old Schwamb Mill, and Robbins Library.
Arlington values equity, diversity, and inclusion. We are committed to building a community where everyone is heard, respected, and protected.
