In partnership with the Arlington Public Schools Diversity and Inclusion Groups, the AHRC sponsored two workshops with skilled facilitator Liza Talusan on the topic of Courageous Conversations About Race. The first event was initiated by parents at the Thompson Elementary School following the discovery of racist graffiti in the school bathroom. Over 200 parents attended the workshops and there is discussion about continuing this work into the next school year.
